Tilmann Siebeneichner

Tilmann Siebeneichner, born in 1976 in Soltau, is a historian. He studied history and philosophy in Oldenburg and Göttingen and received his doctorate from the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen in 2011. Siebeneichner worked as a research associate at the Free University of Berlin and at Humboldt University of Berlin. His research focused on the history of the GDR, generational history, and perceptions of outer space in the twentieth century. His publications include “Proletarischer Mythos und realer Sozialismus. Die Kampfgruppen der Arbeiterklasse in der DDR” (2014) and, co-edited with Alexander C. T. Geppert, “Berliner Welträume im 20. Jahrhundert” (2017).
