Thomas Keck, born in 1962, earned a doctorate in Romance studies in 1990 with a dissertation on the “German Baudelaire.” From 1998 onward, he worked as a writer for SWR television. He wrote plays, poetry and short prose, and was a member of the Verband Deutscher Schriftsteller, the German writers’ association. His publications include a translation of Jean de La Fontaine’s fables and the plays “Die Bewerbung” and “Sindbad oder der Quälgeist.” “Die Zeitflicker” was his first novel.
