Annette Neubauer

Annette Neubauer, born in 1963 in Düsseldorf, studied history and German at the University of Bonn and later added Russian to her studies. After earning a master’s degree, she worked for several years in her own educational practice, teaching children with reading, spelling and arithmetic difficulties. She began writing for children in 2000 and became a freelance children’s author in 2009. She has published numerous books for children and young adults, which have been translated into many languages. As a child, she preferred reading exciting books to playing with dolls.
