Temur Babluani

Temur Babluani, born in 1948 in Svaneti, worked as a film director, screenwriter and actor. He studied at the State Theatre Institute in Tbilisi under Tengiz Abuladze and Irakli Kvirikadze. He became known for the film The Sun of the Watchers (1992), which received the Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution at the 43rd Berlin International Film Festival. His first novel, Sun, Moon and Cornfield, won the SABA Prize for Best Debut in 2019.
