Tanya Lieske

Tanya Lieske (born 1964) studied comparative literature, Romance studies, theater studies and modern history. Beginning in 1996, she worked as a freelance writer, journalist and literary critic. At Deutschlandfunk, she contributed to and hosted the literary program “Büchermarkt.” In addition to reviews and media contributions, she wrote books for children and adults. Hanser published her children’s books “Wir sind (die) Weltklasse” and “Wir sind (die) Weltklasse – Die verschwundene Matilda,” illustrated by Sybille Hein, in 2024; “Wir sind (die) Weltklasse – Die Schlamassel-Fahrt,” the third volume in the series, followed in 2025.
