Tadao Inogai

Tadao Inogai (1908–1978) was a Japanese judo master at the Kodokan Institute in Tokyo, founded by Jigoro Kano. He held the eighth dan and was sent by the Kodokan to France to teach judo. Inogai was known for his extensive knowledge of judo techniques and his mastery of the Kodokan’s classical kata. In the early 1970s, he contributed as an author to Budo-Magazine, a specialist publication edited by Roland Habersetzer.
