Roland Habersetzer

Roland Habersetzer (born 1942) is a French author and practitioner of Asian martial arts. He began training in 1957 and in 1961 became one of the first French karate practitioners to earn a first dan. His first nonfiction book on martial arts was published in 1968; his work comprises nearly 80 books, including reference works, stories, and novels. His first novel, »Li, le Mandchou«, appeared in 1976. In 2006, Ō-Sensei Tsuneyoshi Ogura awarded him the ninth dan and the title of Hanshi in Japan, as well as the title of Sōke for his own style, »Tengu no michi«.
