Elke Weiler is a travel journalist and author of travel books and novels. In 2010, she moved from the Rhineland to Germany’s North Sea coast and founded the award-winning blog “Meerblog”, which focuses on coastal life and slow travel. Her crime-fiction series “Julchen ermittelt” was written in North Frisia and Denmark. Its title character is a headstrong Bearded Collie, inspired by Weiler’s own experience with a dog.
