Sy Montgomery (born 1958) is an American naturalist, screenwriter, and author. She wrote more than twenty nonfiction books and children’s books, including the international bestseller *Rendezvous mit einem Oktopus* and *Das glückliche Schwein*. *Rendezvous mit einem Oktopus* was a New York Times bestseller and a finalist for the 2015 National Book Award. Montgomery received multiple awards for her work.
