Susan Kaufmann

Susan Kaufmann began her work in teaching German as a foreign language in 1980 at Antioch College in Ohio. She subsequently taught English and German to children and adults. For many years, she worked in the educational department of Sprachverband Deutsch and was involved in teacher training. She also developed web-based qualification programs and wrote professional development materials for teaching German as a second language. In her early German-language teaching, she supplemented the textbook with music, films, and a range of speaking activities.
