Steve Brusatte (born 1984) is an American paleontologist and evolutionary biologist. He studied in Chicago, Bristol, and New York and taught and conducted research at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. He initially specialized in the anatomy and evolution of dinosaurs and later also focused on mammalian evolution. Through excavations in different parts of the world, he contributed to the discovery of new vertebrate fossils. His book *The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs* became a New York Times bestseller.
