Author · 25 books
Stephen Briggs was born in Oxford in 1951. A keen theatre enthusiast, he initially adapted works by Monty Python and Tom Sharpe, among others, for a local amateur theatre group. He became known for his long collaboration with Terry Pratchett, which began after Briggs adapted the Discworld novel “Wyrd Sisters” for the stage. Their joint projects included the reference book “The Discworld Companion,” the map “The Streets of Ankh-Morpork,” “Nanny Ogg’s Cookbook,” and Discworld calendars. Briggs also compiled an extensive database of Discworld information.
