Stephan Moebius

Stephan Moebius is a sociologist. His academic career has included positions at the universities of Bremen, Freiburg, Konstanz, Erfurt and Jena, as well as a professorship in sociological theory and the history of ideas at the University of Graz. In 2017, he became a member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and received the Austrian State Prize for Excellence in Research-Oriented Teaching. His scholarly fields include the history of sociology, sociological theory, cultural sociology, sociology of religion and the sociology of intellectuals.
