Philipp Korom earned his doctorate in 2011 at the Institute of Sociology at the University of Graz. In 2013, his dissertation received the Dissertation Prize of the Austrian Sociological Association (ÖGS). From 2013 to 2015, he worked as a senior researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies.
