Stephan Lebert

Stephan Lebert (born 1961 in Munich) is a journalist. He attended the German School of Journalism in Munich and began working for Süddeutsche Zeitung in 1985, followed by positions at Der Spiegel and, from 1999 to 2004, as a senior editor at Tagesspiegel in Berlin. He subsequently worked as an editor at the weekly newspaper Die Zeit. His journalism earned him, among other honors, the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize. In 2000, he published the nonfiction book Denn du trägst meinen Namen, about the descendants of leading National Socialists, based on portraits by his father, Norbert Lebert. With his brother Andreas Lebert, he also published Anleitung zum Männlichsein and Der Ernst des Lebens. Und was man dagegen tun muss.
