Steffen Pross (born 1957) is a historian and Germanist who worked as a nonfiction author and newspaper editor in Ludwigsburg. His books include “In London treffen wir uns wieder” (2000), “Angeklagt. Außergewöhnliche Kriminalfälle in Schwaben” (2005, with Beate Volmari), “Freudental ’38. Eine Ermittlung” (2009), the two-volume “Freudentaler Adressbuch 1935” (2011 and 2013), and “Adolf. Bruchstücke einer deutschen Jugend” (2015). In 2014, he received the Obermayer German Jewish History Award for his work on Freudental’s Jewish history, particularly the “Freudentaler Adressbuch 1935” and “Freudental ’38.”
