Stefanie Gerstenberger was born in Osnabrück in 1965 and studied German and sports. She subsequently worked in the hotel industry and lived and worked on Elba and Sicily, among other places. She later worked as a prop master for film and television before turning to writing. Her debut novel, “Das Limonenhaus,” became a bestseller. Other novels followed, including “Magdalenas Garten,” “Oleanderregen,” “Orangenmond,” “Das Sternenboot,” “Piniensommer,” and “Gelateria Paradiso.” In addition to novels for adults, she wrote books for young readers and children, including the “Die Wunderfabrik” series. She received the DELIA Literature Prize for her work.
