Stefan Wieczorek

Born in Koblenz in 1971, Stefan Wieczorek worked as a literary scholar, translator from Dutch, essayist and cultural mediator. His work focused on literature from Flanders and the Netherlands. Together with Christoph Wenzel, he edited the anthology “Polderpoesie. Junge Lyrik aus Flandern und den Niederlanden” and compiled the thematic issue “Bojen & Leuchtfeuer” for the literary journal “die horen”. He also served as an editor of the bilingual poetry magazine “Trimaran”. In 2022, he received first prize in the translation competition “Nederland vertaalt”.
