Stefan S. Kassner worked as a self-employed ear, nose and throat specialist before ending that career in October 2022 and turning to writing. From 2021 onward, he published novels, novellas and short stories in a range of genres, including thrillers, crime fiction, cosy crime, family novels, romance, fantasy, horror, steampunk and humour. In 2020, he joined the Ashera literary agency. His writing career gained new momentum after he completed a distance-learning course at the School of Writing. Several of his texts also address homosexuality and the way society deals with perceived difference.
