Stefan Kurath

Stefan Kurath (born 1976) is an architect and urbanist. He studied in Switzerland and the Netherlands and earned a doctorate from HafenCity University Hamburg. In 2005, he established an architectural practice in Zurich and Graubünden. From 2012, he served as a professor of architecture and design; from 2014, he co-directed the ZHAW Institute Urban Landscape with Regula Iseli. His research and teaching have focused on urban landscapes, the formation of cities, and the roles of architecture, landscape architecture, planning, and spatial structures.
