Andri Gerber

Andri Gerber (born 1974) is an architectural and urban historian and theorist as well as a scholar of urban metaphors. He studied architecture at ETH Zurich, where he received his doctorate in 2008 and completed his habilitation in 2016; he was awarded the ETH Medal for his doctoral work. Gerber taught the history of urban design at Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Winterthur. His publications include The Architectonics of Game Spaces (2019, with Ulrich Götz), Räumliches Vorstellungsvermögen trainieren (2020), and Die Morphologie von Stadtlandschaften (2021, with Regula Iseli, Stefan Kurath, and Urs Primas).
