Stefan Koelsch

Stefan Koelsch is a German psychologist and neuroscientist whose work focuses on the perception and processing of music. He earned his doctorate and habilitation at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig, where he led the independent junior research group “Neurocognition of Music.” He later served as a professor of biological psychology and music psychology at the University of Bergen in Norway.
