Stefan Creuzberger

Stefan Creuzberger (born 1961, Dr. phil.) is a historian. From 1989 to 1994, he worked as a research associate at the University of Bonn; from 1995 to 2001, he was an editor and deputy editor-in-chief of the journal Osteuropa; and from 2001 to 2012, he was a research associate at the University of Potsdam. In 2013, he was appointed professor of contemporary history at the University of Rostock, where he also headed a research and documentation center on the history of dictatorships in Germany. His research focuses on German, Soviet, and Russian history in the twentieth century, as well as the history of the Cold War. He has co-edited several scholarly series and documentary editions, including the Documents on the Foreign Policy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
