Stavros Mentzos

Stavros Mentzos (1930–2015), born in Athens, was a German psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. From 1957 to 1967, he worked at the Psychiatric University Hospital in Hamburg. He received his doctorate in 1960 and completed his habilitation in 1967. From 1971 to 1995, he headed the Department of Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics at the Psychiatric Center of the University Hospital of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt am Main.
