Sophie van der Stap

Sophie van der Stap was born in Amsterdam in 1983 and studied political science. She drew on her experience of being diagnosed with cancer in early 2005 for her autobiographical bestseller *Today I’m Blonde* (*Heute bin ich blond*), which was adapted into a film in 2012. Van der Stap worked as a journalist and author.
