Myrthe van der Meer (a pseudonym), born in 1983, worked as an editor at a Dutch publishing house. She became known for her autobiographical account of burnout and her time in a closed psychiatric institution. Her book Tiefdruckgebiet received several awards, including the Psyche Media Prize 2013 and the VIVA 400 Award.
