Simon Gerber

Simon Gerber, born in 1967, studied Protestant theology in Tübingen, Göttingen and Kiel from 1986 to 1993. After serving as a vicar from 1996 to 1998, he earned his doctorate and was ordained in 1998. From 1998 to 1999, he worked as a lecturer in church history at the University of Tartu in Estonia. From 2000 onward, he worked at the Schleiermacher Research Centre of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences in Berlin. He completed his habilitation in 2014.
