Sigrun Arenz (born 1978) studied German, theology and English at the University of Erlangen and the University of St Andrews in Scotland. She has worked as a secondary-school teacher, author, translator from English and freelance contributor to daily newspapers. Her publications include the crime novels “Das ist mein Blut,” “Kühl bis ans Herz,” “Nicht vom Brot allein,” “16 Uhr 50 ab Ellingen” and “Der Hund von Bettenfeld,” as well as the guidebooks “Jakobswege in Franken” and “Fahrrad fahren an Flüssen in Franken.” In 2014, she received the City of Fürth’s cultural sponsorship award for literature.
