Serge Le Tendre, born in 1946, is a French comics writer and scenarist. In the early 1970s, he met artist Régis Loisel in a drawing class. On the advice of his teacher, Jean-Claude Mézières, he turned from drawing to writing and created his first comics script in 1975. He is best known for the series »The Quest for the Time-Bird«, developed with Loisel, which became an international success. Le Tendre also wrote scripts for various artists, including the graphic novel »The Confusion of Julius Antoine« for Christian Rossi, and collaborated with Makyo on »Jackie Kottwitz«.
