Senta Berger (born 1941 in Vienna) is a German-speaking actress, film producer and voice artist. After early engagements in Austria, she pursued an international film career that took her to Hollywood, Italy and France, among other places. She appeared in more than 100 feature films as well as numerous television productions, and performed at theatres including Vienna’s Burgtheater, the Thalia Theater and the Schillertheater. She became widely known through television series such as *Kir Royal* and *Die schnelle Gerdi*. Together with her husband, director Michael Verhoeven, she produced feature films and television films. Her work earned her numerous honors, including the Grimme Award, the German Television Award, the Golden Camera, a Silver Bear, the Karl Valentin Order and three Bambis.
