Science Busters are an Austrian science-cabaret group founded in 2007. Its core members include cabaret artist and author Martin Puntigam (born 1969 in Graz), astronomer and science writer Florian Freistetter (born 1977 in Krems), and molecular biologist and science communicator Helmut Jungwirth (born 1969 in Graz). With changing collaborators, they combined scientific subjects with cabaret and performed in theaters as well as on television and radio across the German-speaking world. Their programs received the German Kleinkunstpreis and the Salzburger Stier. Their books “Gedankenlesen durch Schneckenstreicheln” and “Das Universum ist eine Scheißgegend” were named Science Books of the Year.
