Schamma Schahadat

Schamma Schahadat (born 1961) studied Russian and English in Cologne, Exeter, and Moscow. She earned her doctorate and habilitation at the University of Konstanz. In 2004, she became Professor of Slavic Literary and Cultural Studies at the University of Tübingen, specializing in Russian and Polish studies. Her research areas include literary and cultural theory, gender studies, film history, translation theory, and the relationship between space and power.
