Sandra Mitchell

Sandra Mitchell was a professor of the history and philosophy of science at the University of Pittsburgh. Her research focused on the philosophy of biology and the philosophy of the social sciences. She previously conducted research at institutions including the University of California, San Diego, the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne, and the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin. Her work received funding from the National Science Foundation and the American Philosophical Society.
