Sandra Dieckmann

Sandra Dieckmann is an illustrator, author and artist. Born in northern Germany, she became known for colourful, ornamental illustrations often inspired by nature, wildlife and dreams. As a child, she particularly enjoyed the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm and the stories of Astrid Lindgren. Her picture-book debut, “Leaf”, was published in 2018 and was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize, longlisted for the Klaus Flugge Prize and nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal. She also illustrated Anna Goodall’s “Maggie Blue” series.
