Samira El Ouassil

Samira El Ouassil (born 1984 in Munich) is a German author, actress, musician, and politician. She became known in part for her “Wochenschau” column for the online publication Übermedien, which she began writing in 2018, and for co-hosting the podcasts “Sag niemals Nietzsche” and “Piratensender Powerplay.” She also wrote an online column for Der Spiegel and was a singer in the band Kummer. In politics, she was associated with the Party for Labour, the Rule of Law, Animal Protection, Promotion of Elites and Grassroots Democratic Initiative.
