Mira Valentin first worked as a journalist for magazines aimed at young people, women and horse enthusiasts. In 2018, she began writing fantasy novels full time. As a hybrid author, she published historical and fantasy novels both with traditional publishers and through self-publishing. Together with Sam Feuerbach and Greg Walters, she founded the authors’ association Weltenbauer. Her notable works include Der Mitreiser und die Überfliegerin, the Enyador series, Windherz, co-written with Erik Kellen, and Nordblut. She received the Kindle Storyteller Award in 2017 for Der Mitreiser und die Überfliegerin, the Seraph for Best Independent Title in 2020 for Windherz, and the Skoutz Award in the fantasy category in 2021 for Nordblut 1 – Wölfe wie wir. Her books have also received several other award nominations. At public appearances, she often wore cosplay costumes representing characters from her own books or those of fellow authors.
