Ryan Holiday (born 1987) is an American author, entrepreneur, and media strategist. He left college at the age of 19 and worked as an advertising strategist. For several years, he served as marketing director at the clothing company American Apparel and advised companies including Twitter, YouTube, and Google. He is best known for books on Stoicism and the application of ancient philosophy to everyday life. His works include *The Obstacle Is the Way*, *Ego Is the Enemy*, *The Daily Stoic*, and *Stillness Is the Key*.
