Ruth Gantert

Ruth Gantert, born in Zurich in 1967, studied Romance languages and literature in Zurich, Paris and Pisa. She worked as a translator, editor, literary critic and literary mediator. In 2022, she received the international M’illumino d’immenso translation prize. Until 2025, she headed Viceversa, a yearbook and platform for Swiss literatures. Gantert translated from French, Italian and Romansh, including novels by Isabelle Flükiger, Marion Fayolle and Jérémie Gindre, as well as Flurina Badel’s poetry collection “tinnitus tropic”.
