Roman Mauer

Roman Mauer (born 1974) studied film studies, comparative literature, and ethnology. In 2004, he received his doctorate with a study of the work of US filmmaker Jim Jarmusch. His professional career included work as a research associate at the Institute of Film Studies at the University of Mainz. From 2005, Mauer worked as a guest lecturer and reviewer at the University of Television and Film Munich; from 2009, he was also affiliated with the Konrad Wolf University of Film and Television in Babelsberg.
