Born in Berlin in 1941, Rolf Fieguth is a German Slavicist and translator. Until 2007, he taught Slavic studies at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. His translations include Norwid’s poetry cycle “Vademecum” (1981), Witold Gombrowicz’s “Trans-Atlantik” (1987), “The Marriage” (1997), and “Ferdydurke” (2022), as well as two tragedies by Juliusz Słowacki (2021).
