Robert Marasco

Robert Marasco (1936–1998) was born in the Bronx. Before turning to writing, he worked as a teacher. In 1970, he achieved a breakthrough with the play »Child’s Play«, about eerie events at a Catholic boys’ school; it ran for 343 performances on Broadway. His horror novel »Burnt Offerings« became a bestseller and was adapted for film in 1976 by Dan Curtis, starring Oliver Reed, Karen Black, and Bette Davis.
