Robert Krause

Born in 1980, Robert Krause studied German, history and philosophy in Freiburg, Strasbourg and Seville. He received a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Freiburg in 2009; his dissertation examined autobiographies by German-speaking émigré writers as examples of literary acculturation after 1933. Krause worked at the Department of German Literature at the University of Freiburg and was a member of the Collaborative Research Centre “Leisure: Concepts, Spaces, Figures” in 2013–14. His research focuses on modern and exile literature, cultural and literary theory, and discourse analysis.
