Rita Bischof

Rita Bischof, born in Fulda in 1948, studied philosophy, sociology and literary studies in Frankfurt am Main, Marburg and Berlin. She conducted research and taught in Paris and Florence and held teaching positions at several universities. Bischof published numerous books and essays on the philosophy of history, modern aesthetics, masses and power, as well as on Georges Bataille, Walter Benjamin, Theodor Lessing and Surrealism. Her works include *Nadja revisited* (2013) and *Georges Bataille und die Philosophie des Auges*.
