Richard Price

Richard Price was born in the Bronx in 1949. He is an author of novels and screenplays. His notable novels include Cash and Die Unantastbaren, for which he received the Deutscher Krimipreis, a German crime fiction award. Many of his novels have been adapted for film, including by Spike Lee. Price also wrote numerous screenplays for films directed by or starring Martin Scorsese, Al Pacino, and Paul Newman. In 2007, he received an Edgar Award for his work on the acclaimed television series The Wire. In researching the series, he spent several months with the police.
