Rebecca Maria Salentin (born 1979) is a writer. Her publications include the novels “Hintergrundwissen eines Klavierstimmers” and “Schuld war Elvis”, as well as “Im Himmel gibt es kein Bier”; she also writes essays and short stories. From 2009 to 2018, she ran the circus-wagon café ZierlichManierlich in Leipzig. In 2019, she hiked the Way of Friendship and drew on the experience for her book “Klub Drushba”. In recognition of her readings and lectures, she received first place at the elmundoFestival in 2021. Salentin also initiated and hosted the literary show “Die schlecht gemalte Deutschlandfahne”.
