Rashid Khalidi (born 1948 in New York) is a Palestinian-American historian of the Middle East and a writer. He studied at Yale University and the University of Oxford and taught at several universities. At Columbia University in New York, he held the Edward Said Professorship of Modern Arab Studies and is now professor emeritus. Khalidi was a co-editor of the Journal of Palestine Studies. His publications include The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine: A History of Settler Colonialism and Resistance. Among other honors, he received the 2018 WOCMES Seville Award and the MESA Book Award.
