Ralf Sotscheck, born in Berlin in 1954, worked from 1985 as a correspondent for the German daily taz, covering Ireland and the United Kingdom. He also wrote for other media, made documentary films for German television, and published numerous reportage and satire books. His works include Mein Irland, Lesereise Irland: Grüner Fels in wilden Zeiten, Zocken mit Jesus: Irische Zeichen und Wunder, and Nordirland: Zwischen Bloody Sunday und Brexit.
