Rae Carson

Rae Carson was born in California in 1973. She studied social sciences and worked in several industries after graduating from university before becoming a writer. Her debut novel, *The Girl of Fire and Thorns*, was published in German as *Der Feuerstein*. Carson is a New York Times bestselling author, has received several awards, and was a finalist for the Andre Norton Award. She has also written several *Star Wars* novels.
