Kirsten Borchardt began writing and translating texts on pop culture and fantasy in 1996. After studying translation at Heidelberg University, she worked as a freelance journalist for music and city magazines and as a music editor in commercial radio. She later spent many years on the editorial team of the Gothic magazine Zillo. Authors whose works she has translated include Joe Abercrombie, Jay Kristoff, Jasper Fforde, Corey Taylor, Sylvie Simmons, and Rae Carson.
