Rachel Aviv

Rachel Aviv became an editor at The New Yorker in 2013. She has written for the magazine on subjects including medicine, legal ethics, and criminal justice. Her reporting on police violence received the Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award and the Scripps Howard Award. She was also a finalist for the National Magazine Award for Public Interest.
